Comfy 2 bed, 2 bath cottage; easy walk to downtown. You will find everything you need in our well-appointed "home away from home" for your visit to historic Apalachicola!

Gut zu wissen

Our cottage is located in a very quiet area, and is a short stroll to downtown and all it has to offer. You will enter into the living room, with the fully stocked kitchen and dining room to the left. The hallway leads to both bedrooms, the second bedroom/guest bathroom, laundry area, and back door. The back yard is fully fenced, with a separate gate that leads to the side garden next door. There are lanterns in the trees that are set to come on for a few hours at dark. An unoccupied art studio is located in the rear of the side garden. (There are plans in the works to make that space available for short term rental as well.) The side garden leads back out to the front yard. Historic Chestnut Cemetery is located directly across the street, with graves dating back to when Apalachicola was first settled. The parking lot has ample space for two vehicles, or one vehicle and a 36-ft boat trailer. There are hoses located in the side garden and in the back yard on the side of the house next to the park.

Private entrance. Up to two dogs are allowed, but no more than 20 lbs. each. Please no labs, retrievers, German shepherds, or similar large breeds. No cats are allowed. There is a Ring doorbell with a security camera that looks out on the front porch, and a Ring security camera that looks out on the front parking area. There are no other cameras located on or in the property.

The cottage is located on a quiet side street. The Culligan water store is on one side, but there is a buffer of vegetation in the side garden that hides it from view, while also providing a nice sound buffer. There is a seldom used city park on the other side of the cottage, with picnic tables and a covered pavilion. The Apalachicola Community Garden is located next to the city park. There is one neighbor located behind the unoccupied art studio, but they are extremely quiet. There are no other homes located around the cottage other than the one neighbor. The historic Chestnut Cemetery is located directly across the street from the cottage. There is a CVS pharmacy and Piggly Wiggly grocery store located within walking distance of the cottage.

Wow!! Ich habe fast Angst, diese Bewertung zu schreiben, weil Mary Katherines Unterkunft einfach spektakulär war!! Viel besser, als wir es so kurzfristig erwartet hätten – wir haben fast Angst, dieses Geheimnis zu verraten! So sauber, komfortabel und bestens ausgestattet. Wir haben das Haus und die Lage GELIEBT. Es gibt so viel zu tun und zu sehen, tolle Restaurants, nette Menschen. Wir können es kaum erwarten, wiederzukommen! Vielen Dank, dass wir in Ihrem wunderschönen Zuhause wohnen durften!! Wow!! I am almost afraid to write this review because Mary Katherine’s place was spectacular!! So much better than we could have hoped for on short notice.—we’re afraid to share the secret! So clean, comfortable, and well equipped. We LOVED the house and the location. So much to do and see, great restaurants, lovely people. We can’t wait to get back! Thank you for letting us stay at your beautiful home!!

You will pass by the Chestnut Cemetery and the historic Chapman house on your stroll. If desired, there are golf cart rentals available through the Gibson Inn (located in the downtown area).
